How can you Get Involved?
There are a number of ways for you to get involved. You’ll find our three areas of focus at Columbus Free Methodist below.
Are you looking to build relationships with others and deepen your personal relationship with Jesus? We want to help you, and your family, in that journey.
We believe children are created to have a relationship with God just like adults.
We believe children are created to have a relationship with God just like adults. We want to help them grow in their faith with lessons designed for where they are developmentally. On Sunday mornings we have spaces available for all ages, where all of our volunteers are background checked and safety trained:
- 0-3 years old are in the nursery where they get to play and interact with others and are read Bible stories
- 3-5 year olds are in our Wee Church, which is filled with fun activities built around a Bible lesson designed just for them
- 1st-6th Grade are in Kid’z Church where they will do worship, activities, and a Bible lesson to help them grow and learn God’s Word
- On the first Sunday of every month all elementary children are in service with the adults for intergenerational worship
On Sunday nights our youth, 7th through 12th grade, come together for an engaging time of fellowship and learning how God calls them to live. Click below if you want more information on our kids or youth activities.
God designed all of His people to live in community with one another.
God designed all of His people to live in community with one another. It is in community that we have the opportunity to share our sins and struggles, encourage one another in good deeds, and have conversations about the Bible and living our faith out daily. Our best options are:
- Sunday School happens every Sunday morning at 9 am for one hour.
- Small Groups are a new thing we are doing at Columbus Free Methodist. These can happen throughout the week and may take place at different locations.
- Women's Ministry is a place for the women in our church and community to come together lifting each other up in prayer, bible study and fun activities.

In Our Community
Our church works with two local organizations to bless and serve our community in tangible ways.
Love Chapel is a multiple church organization that serves people in need in Bartholomew County.
Love Chapel is a multiple church organization that serves people in need in Bartholomew County. They do that by operating a food pantry, providing hot meals to those in need each week night, running a homeless shelter, and giving financial assistance. Our church partners with Love Chapel by being a hot meal host site, doing food drives throughout the year for the pantry, and volunteering at special events. Several of our members also volunteer throughout the week.
If you would like to learn more about Love Chapel, or how you can get involved with them please give your information below.
Beloved is a nonprofit in Bartholomew County that gives new duffle bags, with supplies in them, to children who are going into foster care.
Beloved is a nonprofit in Bartholomew County that gives new duffle bags, with supplies in them, to children who are going into foster care. Children who are going into foster care often take any belongings they have, if they have any, to their new home in a garbage bag. In many ways this is how the children equate their personal value. Beloved’s goal is to show kids going through difficult times that they are loved and being prayed for. Our church partners with Beloved by doing drives for different supplies they need, and some people help fill the bags when help is needed. If you would like to learn more about Beloved, or get involved with them please give your information below.
In Our Church
We strive to be a church that is helping people use and grow in the God given gifts and talents they have received. We have several opportunities for people to get involved, both during the week and on Sunday mornings.
